Keddem Congregation Membership Information

Who may be a member?

Membership in Keddem Congregation is on an individual basis and is open to all persons 13 or older who support our goals.

What are the privileges of membership?

Members may vote to elect directors and may serve on committees. Members and their immediate families may have life-cycle ceremonies as part of a Keddem Congregation service.

When does the membership year begin?

The membership year starts on July 1 and ends on June 30. New members who join between April 1 and June 30 are considered to be current members through the following membership year.

What does Keddem expect from members?

Keddem is a community-led congregation. We expect each member to donate time and energy as well as funds. For example, you can help set up for an event, bring food, or help organize lectures and classes. Making our activities happen is the most effective way to feel like part of the Keddem community.

How do you apply for membership?

Potential members apply to the Membership Committee. You can download the membership application, print and complete, and send that to Keddem along with your dues payment. Or, call the office at +1 (650) 494-6400 to request a form.

Return your completed form with a check for the appropriate dues amount, as specified on the form, to the address shown on the form. If you cannot afford the requested amount, indicate what you can afford. All applications for membership are subject to approval of the Membership Committee.
